MILO Heats up the Summer with Sports Programs for Kids

From April to May, MILO will open its own centralized sports clinics in 50 cities across the country in addition to existing MILO sponsored sports clinics to give children more opportunities to experience top-level training by MILO coaches and experts for a lineup of 13 sports programs, including badminton, basketball, bowling, gymnastics, volleyball, karatedo, ice skating, tennis, taekwondo, table tennis, chess, football, and swimming.

MILO ensures that the participants of the MILO Summer Sports Clinics not only get the training they need to become world-class athletes, but also the necessary values they need to succeed in life, such as determination, discipline, commitment and teamwork.

MILO has a history of producing winners on and off the court through its trusted sports programs. Among the MILO sponsored sports clinics’ esteemed alumni are BEST Center graduate and PBA player Chris Tiu, Philippine Taekwondo Association’s top athlete and Southeast Asian Games medalist Japoy Lizardo, and BEST Center Volleyball Clinic graduate and WNCAA gold medalist MVP Princess Gaiser.

Finding a worthwhile summertime activity for children is a challenge in itself for most Filipino parents. While kids spend more time in front of the computer than outside to play, they get less exposure to the wholesome cognitive and physical benefits linked with outdoor activities. With summer just around the corner, now is a great time to engage kids in active play like sports activities, which develop life-long skills and abilities when provided with the right training, equipment and facilities. Sports also sharpen the mind and build character through values like fair play, self-control and honesty.

About MILO Sports Clinics
Far from its simple beginnings as a swimming class for children in 1983, the MILO Summer Sports Clinics has gone a long way. Now hailed the most widely participated sports clinic program in the country, the clinics offer 13 sports programs, including badminton, basketball, bowling, gymnastics, volleyball, karatedo, ice skating, tennis, taekwondo, table tennis, chess, football, and swimming, each with an array of schedules and venues children and their parents can choose from. Sunday Fitness Motivation: What? Push Ups?

Strength does not come from physical capacity.
It comes from an indomitable will.
~Mahatma Gandhi~

Photo of my knee after the push ups.
Done at the rough pavements of Mall of Asia bay side grounds during the Nike Running Clinic this morning (March 10, 2013) conducted by PH best running man and race organizer Coach Rio dela Cruz!

I have never done push ups exercise in my entire fitness program experiences before.  In my desire to mind set and be back to running after three months of no training/running I took the challenge.  The feeling is rewarding plus I got a bonus of body aches and muscle pains LOL!

I’m All HEAT Up! And Seriously! The Harlem Shake?

Mrs JamesIt’s a known fact that I’m a HUGE Lebron James fan! If you are in my social media circle you have no choice but to bear with my regular postings about Lebron James and the Miami Heat.

But being a sports lover I do also post a lot about my favorite athletes and sports but it is also obvious that majority of my posts are about Lebron.  As for the reason, it needs a separate post to explain.

In spite of my chaotic schedule which causing me to miss watching live my favorite NBA Games, I make sure that I’ll catch up if not the full replay but at least the highlights of the games that I missed.

This week there are two LBJ videos that has been amusing me. Take a peek!

The Sweet 16 Heat win!

“No, one drive doesn’t prove Michael Jordan wrong or make a small sample size of possessions any more meaningful, but it does drive one point home: when you’re defending LeBron James one-on-one in 2013, you aren’t trying to push him to a less-efficient zone, you’re simply trying to survive.” SOURCE

The HARLEM SHAKE Miami Heat Edition = LOL!

This seems to be the magic for the winning streak.

Thank you Miami Heat for amusing me!  You’re a great breather at this time that I am struggling to go back into running!

Now I’m thinking of running while doing the Harlem Shake ha ha!
