Not that we are happy for the reason why Rescue Run is being organized. Our heart goes to the victims and we hope that we are able to help not only by joining this run but also by creating awareness to others.
Anyway back to the fun of joining a rescue run. While everyone is going gaga over the holiday rush, lack of sleep, attending parties here and there, we kicked off our party shoes and changed it to running shoes then proceeded to Bonifacio Global City and joined the Filipino running community.
Since it’s Greetennial Run it is definitely full of fun, fun, fun and of course AWESOME photos. You will be welcomed by runners sporting different "rescue" and "holiday-related" costumes. It is so entertaining and inspiring to see their enthusiastic faces at the same time, Running alone is tough more so to run wearing a costume - how I so adore these people! Everyone is aware that there would be a “Best in Costume” award but it was obvious as well that they wore the costumes to add more fun to this run.
On a cold December dawn you will have the chance to traverse the ramp of C-5! Brrrrrrr!
Other memorable moments of this run are:
- having bubbly hosts who entertained the runners during the pre and post run
- Zumba was the warm up exercise
- special awards (Best in Costume, Running Duo, Sweetest Running Couple Best Running Groups, etc)
- water shower/sprinkler from a fire truck during the run…

Soleus sponsored a raffle with branded watches as major prices for. A raffle ticket is provided to every P50 donation. I won a Puma Earplugs as giveaway price and my two buddies won Puma bracelets each
Rescue Run 2012 marks my fun team’s “Team QuekQuek” 1st Anniversary. We launch our team during Rescue Run 2011.
- and of course lots of photos including the famous “look back shot” and my most favorite “jump shot”!
Well, one of my team mate probably consumed all the holiday foods that she received as gifts before Christmas, thus she failed to jump here…
